  • This is an entry that I’ve been meaning to do for a while now.

This here’s a singer/songwriter that everyone should know about who I see around on the college tour circuit.

I first met Ken at a Visionshock Party a year ago and got hold of his CD.   I’m usually not a big listener to unknown musical artists only because I find that either 1) Their recordings are very unpolished or 2) Being a mindless slave to the Top 40, I don’t vibe with music Rick Dees has not yet introduced.  Hey, I’m just being honest.  But as soon as I popped Ken’s CD in, and listened to his John Mayer/Jason Mraz/Rob Thomas-esque tunes, the two reasons above instantly faded away.

A year later, I find that his disc still finds a pretty decent rotation in my car’s 6-disc changer amongst the “Avenue Q” soundtrack.

Take a listen to “End Credits” http://www.kenoak.net/audio.html , close your eyes and I dare you to tell me his musical stylings don’t belong on the radio.  Plus he’s a great guy to boot and deserves to blow up.  And if you ever see me at any of his live concerts, you’ll definitely catch me secretly singing along in a dark, dark corner.  Check out his site: www.kenoak.net .
