“HOUSE” HUNTING
There’s a great website I use to visit certain Television home exteriors that have become iconic in pop culture. The best of the ”bunch” was seeing the ”Brady Bunch” house in the middle of this suburban neighborhood.
Located on: 11222 Dilling St, Studio City CA

And then the “Walsh House” from “Beverly Hills, 90210″. Located on: 1675 E. Altadena Drive, Altadena, CA

Or perhaps Kelly and Donna’s pad on the beach when they were living on their own, located on: 3500 The Strand, Hermosa Beach, CA

Or even the home that houses the witches of the WB’s “Charmed”, located on: 1329 Carroll Ave., Los Angles CA.

Or the abode of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” located on: 1313 Lota Drive, Torrance CA.
There are lots more on the site from Wayne Manor in the “Batman” series, the batcave location, “Happy Days” home, etc:

These places are a lot more fun to take out-of-towners because I could point to any large mansion and say, “Vin Diesel” lives there and no one would be the wiser. With the homes above, most of them are going to be recognizable if they’ve seen the show.
One disclaimer. Please respect that all of the homes are private property. Look but don’t touch. Obviously Brandon Walsh will not answer the door to the 90210 home — I’ve already tried. Jk.
However, I did find him in Vancouver.
So if you’re ever in town, go onto Mapquest and have a Happy Hunting.

pretty cool…
YAY now i know where to take my out-of-towner family to see “celebrity” homes.. hehehe.
haha pretty neat, though the brady bunch house doesn’t look like what it did 30+ years ago
.
i love how all of these pop icon houses are located in the los angeles area! the ironic part is that your “typical” beverly hills home isn’t even in BH!
cool homes.
me like the 2nd one =)
hmmm….so if i ever end up ringing your doorbell, would you answer it?
*ahem* ROAD TRIP TO PARRY’S PLACE!!!
jkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjkjk!! i’m not THAT scary…
haha cool beans. Can’t wait for Tru Calling this Thursday! it’s wriiten in my calendar and my alarm is set!
that’s a very creative post. It’s interesting how those homes are so universal. One look and you know what they are from!
i did read that it was cancelled, but i think here they’re still showing it, because North Shore is taking a break and tru calling is coming on… but yeah that’s what my friend said, but you’re in the show so we’ll see what happens!
My friend used to live across the street from the Six Feet Under house (it’s located near the corner of Adams/Arlington in Los Angeles). Whenever I go hang out at her place, I can see the house from her bedroom window. It was so unbelievably cool! I would also purposely walk by the house and imagine the Six Feet Under characters living there.
you should try Chino Hills, CA…i think its one of the last really nice suburbs …30 minutes from LA, and your gonna be right smack in the middle of everything
Out of curiosity, what is the status of Tru Calling? I never got a chance to see it last season and was curious to check it out this year.
In this weeks TVguide.com, it says the sets are still up and that there’s hope. Is that true? http://tvguide.com/news/askausiello/
Must be oddly interesting to live in such a place.
thank you so much for not posting info on one abc show’s house!!
