  As you may have read from my previous entry (Aug 16, 2004), I am an avid study of the male hairdo. 

  
  

  Many probably believe that Real Madrid, Soccer Player, David Beckham popularized the “Faux Hawk” –  hairstyle of choice for most metrosexuals.

  
  

  But while I was taking down some old displays in my wife’s classroom this past week, I made an astonishing discovery.

  
  

   

  
  

   

  
  

  

  
  

   

  
  

  It seems in fact, that the look was first originated circa. 1857 by the 15th President of the United States, James Buchanan.  Who now, with this new documented evidence, I have designated as the nation’s first metrosexual.

  
  

  The hairstyle simply needed another century and a half to catch on. 

  
  

  Galileo.  DiVinci.  Buchanan.  All men of genius unrecognized during their own days.  However, achievements such as these will always withstand the tests of time and sometimes… gravity.
